Hey everyone!

I have been working hard behind the scenes here to provide an even better Live Hangout experience for everyone involved!

Today I added the ability to import reminders into your favourite calendar tool.

All you need to do is head over to the upcoming Hangout page, and click the download link below the “Add Reminder to Calendar” section beside the video.

This will download a .ics file which is import-able into most calendar software.

Below are the instructions for importing the Calendar file into the top three popular Calendar tools.

Import the ICS File into Google Calendar

  1. Open Google Calendar.
  2. On the left side, click the down arrow on the right side of “Other Calendars”.
  3. Click “Import Calendar”.
  4. Click “Choose File” and locate the recently downloaded ICS file on your computer.
  5. Click “Open”.
  6. If necessary, choose the Calendar you want to import to. Many times you will just have one so you can skip this step.
  7. Click “Import”.

Set Reminders in Microsoft Outlook

Please visit the official ICS import instructions page on the Microsoft web site HERE.

Set Reminders in Apple’s iCal or iCloud

Please visit the Apple website for information specific to iCal and iCloud.

That should do it! But please do comment below if you have questions or run into any problems. And be sure to check out past Hangouts replays on YouTube to see what all the fuss is about.
