Castor oil has been shown to provide several health benefits, including but not limited to re-growing and thickening of hair, improving circulation, and inducing labor. Another amazing benefit found in castor oil is the ability for it to reduce scar tissue and provide amazing skin care results.

Castor oil comes from the castor seed called ricinus communis, which has a very unusual chemical composition that composes of triglyceride. It is comprised of fatty acids, which 90% of it is ricinoleic acid. (1) This unique fatty acid is found to be lower in concentration compared to other seeds and oils, containing cottonseed oil and soybean oil, which is found to be responsible for it’s healing properties.
