Today we are featuring this super easy recipe for a Cantaloupe Pineapple Orange Smoothie. The flavor combo and recipe would make for a cool and fun treat for kids of all ages. Just find your favorite popsicle mold, ice cube shapes or trays, and freeze the mixture. Below you will see the recipe for a smoothie and/or frozen treat, but first let’s talk about how cantaloupe can help fight against infection and a list of other things!
Cantaloupe contains beneficial levels of B-complex vitamins such as niacin, pantothenic acid, and vitamin C, and minerals like manganese. Vitamin C helps our bodies develop resistance against infectious agents and scavenge harmful oxygen-free radicals. (1) Manganese is used by the body as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase. (1) It’s also an excellent source of Vitamin A, and is one of the highest among cucurbita fruits. - 1 C Frozen Cantaloupe Chunks/Cubes
- 1 C Diced Pineapple
- 1/2 C Freshly Squeezed (or Juiced) Orange Juice
- (Optional) Nut Milk of your choice if you want it creamier
- All ingredients into a high speed blender on high until smooth or desired consistency is met.
